The heat has subsided, and the season has arrived where you can enjoy a pleasant ride on your bicycle. It is a great pleasure for us to see that even in Nagoya, a city known for its car-centric culture, more and more people are incorporating cycling into their daily lives.
To encourage even more people to use bicycles in the future, it is essential to improve the current environment. Today, we have a request for your cooperation for the future of cyclists in Nagoya.
Izuru-san from Daisy Messenger has initiated a Car-Free Day cycling event on Sunday, September 22nd, as a form of "Car-Free Day cycling action" to promote cycling through the streets of Nagoya!

Location: Hisaya Odori Kibou no Hiroba (Venue has been changed)
This is a cycling advocacy ride held on Car-Free Day.
Why not join us in riding through the streets of Nagoya for the sake of a better cycling environment?
While bicycles are excellent for the environment and health, they are not actively prioritized in a society centered on cars as a means of transport. If we citizens don't raise our voices, the situation won't improve; instead, it will likely become even harder to ride.
Open to all bicycle types, ages, genders, and nationalities. The route is currently being finalized but will be about 5-7km long. We will ride slowly for about an hour, so a standard city bike will be perfect.
For the future where the environmentally friendly and convenient bicycle is properly utilized by the next generation, let's stand united as cyclists. We will be participating as well. We look forward to seeing all the cyclists in Nagoya there!
*Please note that due to the Car-Free Day cycling action, our store hours on Sunday, September 22nd, will be 14:00-20:00. We hope those planning to visit will join us for the group ride instead!
