We will be hosting a try-on event for SMITH OPTICS, the American brand primarily known for its helmets, sunglasses, and goggles, from tomorrow, April 29th, through May 14th.
From flagship models to city riding styles

For helmets, you will be able to try on and purchase in-person models that we haven't carried at Circles before, in addition to the Network and Session models we already stock. This includes our road bike flagship model, the Trace; the mountain bike flagship model, the Forefront 2; and the new addition to the lineup for city riding, the Dispatch.
From sports to lifestyle

Additionally, you will be able to check out many items from their sunglass collections, ranging from the sports series perfect for riding to the lifestyle series suitable for everyday life.

There are plenty of things you'll want to check in person—not just for helmets, but for sunglasses as well—such as the fit and how the view looks through the lenses.
Please take this opportunity to try out SMITH OPTICS products!
SMITH OPTICS
In 1965, Bob Smith, an orthodontist and avid powder hound, began hand-making goggles with double lenses and breathable foam in his home workshop. The brand got its start when he began selling them at ski resorts in Utah and Colorado on the weekends. Even today, many production processes are still carried out by hand in their American factory. More than 50 years after its founding, the company remains dedicated to developing products with innovative technologies that allow users to focus on their fun, incorporating mechanisms in their helmets and sunglasses that you won't find from other manufacturers.
Koroyd®︎

Found in the mid-grade and higher models of the SMITH OPTICS helmet lineup, Koroyd®︎ is a honeycomb-structured material that absorbs 48% more impact than traditional EPS alone, while also efficiently releasing heat trapped inside the helmet.
Impact absorption technology
When a helmet is subjected to an impact, the Koroyd panel absorbs the energy and crushes, minimizing potential damage to the head.

Industrial technology for advanced protection
Developed from advanced aerospace engineering, Koroyd panels are made from precisely extruded polymer tubes that are thermal-welded into panels at the thickness required to absorb helmet impacts.
Unprecedented airflow and ventilation

Koroyd contributes significantly to ventilation as well as impact absorption. Its honeycomb structure allows fresh air to enter while simultaneously releasing the heated air from the rider's head.
ChromaPop™️

The ChromaPop technology, developed exclusively by SMITH, is now used in nearly all of their sunglass and goggle lenses. Humans perceive light made of red, green, and blue wavelengths, and our brains interpret this. We perceive the overlap of these three wavelengths as "white." SMITH's ChromaPop technology uses a special lens coating to filter out the crossovers where blue and green, and green and red wavelengths meet.

Normally, the human brain cannot clearly distinguish which color is which at these points of overlap. By blocking these ambiguous areas, the brain can see the colors of objects pop more vividly and recognize depth more clearly, allowing for the reproduction of natural colors with high contrast and clarity.
SMITH OPTICS products are highly popular among our staff, and they are incredibly appealing in both functionality and style. I personally have used their sunglasses for a long time, and they have become an essential item for my rides.
I know many of you haven't had the chance to see them in person yet, so please take this opportunity to try out SMITH OPTICS products!
