This weekend, the Tokai Cyclocross Rounds 6 & 7 will be held at Aichi Farm. Since it's a 2-day event, many participants are coming from all over the country, and we hear the total number of entries for the two days has already topped 900!
Especially for Round 7 on Sunday, almost all of the Circles staff are entered in the race. After all, it's easily accessible from the city! And with some assassins from Tokyo arriving the day before to compete in Sunday's race, we have no choice but to throw a party! So, we’ve planned a few things!
Part 1: NEW YEAR’S ALLEY CAT

– NEW YEAR’S ALLEY CAT –
・Date: Saturday, January 20th – Entry at 20:30 / Start at 21:00
・Location: Hikari no Hiroba (across from Yabacho Station Exit 1)
・Entry Fee: 500 yen
The first night orienteering event of 2018, CHILL!!, will of course be an alley cat. An alley cat is a fun scavenger hunt-style game where you use a map to plan your own route and ride through the city on your bike. The type of bike, gender, age, or occupation doesn’t matter—even a city bike is fine!
We usually hold this on the third Friday of every month, but for a certain reason, we've moved it to Saturday this month. We heard that some blue assassins from Tokyo are coming for the Tokai Cross Round 7 at Aichi Farm on Sunday, so we thought, "Why not hang out together?" and invited them to join CHILL!!
Even on a chilly night, the cold won't bother you if you're out having a blast with everyone! And after we finish, let's fill our bellies with some Nagoya-style food at Misen!
Part 2: Bike To Tokai CX
– BIKE to Tokai CX –
・Sunday, January 21st – Meet at Early Birds at 7:00 AM
・Destination: Aichi Farm (977 Minamiyama, Mienogi-cho, Nisshin City) / *Dismissal on-site
The next morning, Sunday, whether you're racing or just watching the Tokai Cyclocross Round 7 at Aichi Farm, why not ride the 18km or so to the venue with us?!
Early Birds, which normally opens at 7:00, will be opening at 6:30 that day to brew coffee for everyone! How about enjoying a warm cup of coffee first thing in the morning and then heading to the venue via a pleasant route? SimWorks will have a booth at the venue, and filling up on food from BUCYO COFFEE is also a great idea. Tokai Cyclocross is known for its friendly, homey atmosphere, and you can even eat the farm's famous gelato at the venue. Even if you aren't racing, you can still participate in the practice sessions, so come along if you're interested!
We will basically be dismissing everyone at the venue, but you are welcome to head home via the nearby Meitetsu Toyota Line "Kurosasa Station" (which connects to the Tsurumai Subway Line) with your bike in a bike bag, so don't forget your bag if you plan to go by train.
So, whether you're racing or spectating, let’s all have a good time together! Bring it on, Team Blue Lug!
Please note that due to the above, our business hours on Sunday, January 21st will be changed.
