We apologize for the inconvenience, but Circles will be closed this weekend for two days, Saturday, August 27th, and Sunday, August 28th.
That weekend is the time for 【Ride Alive 2016】, an event based on the concept of a summer vacation for Circles.
The members in charge of one of this year's Ride Alive activities—the night trail run—went for one final course inspection.
Here’s a small spoiler about the course:

The first half is a double track with a gentle downhill gradient. But you’ll be running in total darkness. Most people have never run under those conditions before. Let's all chat and enjoy the run together.
And the second half looks something like this:

As you can probably tell from the photo, it’s quite steep. And even more so in the pitch black. It might end up being more of a test of courage than a night trail run.
The most important thing for those participating is, without a doubt, a light. A headlamp or a handheld flashlight is fine, but please bring the brightest one you have. Other than that, just come in comfortable clothes and shoes and you’re all set!
But for those of you hesitating to participate because you don't have a headlamp, Circles actually has some bright headlamps in stock
right here.

【Princeton Tec】VIZZ ¥6,300 (excl. tax)
With 165 lumens, it's plenty bright. This level of brightness is enough to run most night trails.

【Princeton Tec】Eos Bike Multi ¥5,800 (excl. tax)
As you might guess from the name "Bike," depending on the included band, this can be used as a headlamp or attached to a bicycle helmet. At 80 lumens, it might feel a little lacking on a dark mountain path, but I think it’s plenty bright enough for this night trail run where we’ll all be running together.
I run at Higashiyama Park myself on Sunday nights. That’s actually how I came up with the idea of doing a night trail run as an activity. I run almost every week without fail, so if you're interested, let's run together!
As I mentioned at the beginning, Circles will be closed this weekend for two days, Saturday, August 27th, and Sunday, August 28th. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you were planning to come by this weekend, please stop by before Friday. Oh, and if you're looking for a headlamp, make sure to come by before Friday as well.
Thank you for visiting us today. We are open tomorrow, so we look forward to seeing you then.
