The lucky number eight.

The Great Nagoya Bicycle Custom Culture Exhibition has come to a close with great success.

Between the weekend shop stalls and SimWorks' first-ever exhibition, the "What a beautiful moment show," which was also a massive success, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. However, with the Nobeyama CX coming up tomorrow and the day after, the events keep rolling, and our team is ready to power through it together.

And once this weekend is over, it’ll be December. That’s right, December. And speaking of December, there’s one thing we can’t forget: our anniversary.

Time flies, and Circles is about to celebrate its 8th anniversary. It’s also been two years since Earlybirds opened its doors.

I’ve been working at the shop since back when we were based in Fukiage, and before I knew it, I’d found myself in the position of being able to send out these anniversary greetings to everyone. It is a true blessing to have met all of you through the bicycle—a vehicle I love dearly—to be part of your daily lives, and to be able to make a living doing this. Looking back on everything, I truly feel that the path we’ve taken to get here was the right one.

When the bike shop "Circles" first opened in Fukiage, it was small compared to our current space, but that small vortex began to grow, and even after moving our base here to Chiyoda, it has continued to grow into an even larger one. With the addition of our friends at SimWorks and Earlybirds, I’m struck by how big this ship has become. At the same time, I’m keenly aware that we are only here today because of all of you who support us daily and sometimes look to us for help. Thank you so much!

We, the staff, will continue to work hard every day to make your cycling lives even richer. And why don't you join us in making this vortex even bigger?
"Eight" is a lucky number in Japanese culture—and it also happens to be the symbol of Nagoya City. We’d love for everyone to celebrate our 8th anniversary with us!

So, to express our daily gratitude and to celebrate our continued growth, despite the late notice in this busy month of December, we are happy to announce our
annual Circles & EarlyBirds Joint Anniversary Festival!

Circles 8th bunner_900

This time, we want to go back to basics and have fun together!
Plus, this year we’re splitting it into three parts: morning, evening, and night!

Date: Saturday, December 6th

Morning Session
– Circles Presents “Join the Circle” Ride!! –

Meeting Time: 8:00 AM
Meeting Place: Heiwa Park

¥2,000 (Includes breakfast served by Earlybirds and entry to the evening party.)

Meet us at Heiwa Park in the morning to fuel up for the ride with breakfast from Earlybirds. The ride will be split into two groups: a challenging 80km ride and a laid-back 40km ride. Of course, the Circles staff will be joining both groups. We rarely have a chance to ride with everyone, so we’re looking forward to chatting with you as we ride together.

Rick Hunter will be joining the 80km ride, too! We’ll announce the route details later, but we’ll be hitting some of our favorite spots and places for a great lunch, finally heading to the finish line at Circles. Feel free to choose the course that fits your fitness level, and you are welcome to turn back at any time at your own discretion. Whether you want to ride fast or slow, everyone is welcome. Any type of bike is fine, so let’s just get out there and ride!

After we get back to Circles, why not change out of your sweaty kit and freshen up for the evening party? Luckily, there’s a convenient bathhouse nearby called Urban Qua where you can wash off the sweat and refresh!

Evening Session
– EarlyBirds Breakfast Presents “Join the Circle” Party!! –

Time: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Location: EarlyBirds Breakfast

1 drink + free snacks (light refreshments)

Let’s eat together after the ride! We’ll have some light refreshments and snacks available. Please change out of your cycling gear and dress up a little as you come by to join us.

The entry fee remains the same whether you join just the evening party or the ride as well, so we hope to see you there from the morning if you can make it!

Night Session
– SimWorks Presents “Join the Circle” Night Party!! –

Time: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Location: Maison YWE

¥1,500 (Includes 1 drink). *Food will be cash-on-delivery.

At night, we’ll move the party to Maison YWE!
Our music-loving friends will be putting together a fantastic party playlist for us!

DJ’s

・DJ Don’t Be Shy (from SimWorks)
・DJ Izuru (from Daisy Messenger)

There are three parts to the event (morning, evening, and night), so if you wish to participate, please contact Circles. (You can also sign up here)
