It’s happening again this year! Tamiya’s outdoor RC event, TAMIYA RC PICNIC in Aichi!
The Aichi event saw the highest number of attendees in RC PICNIC history last year. Of course, Circles will be participating. While last year featured a ride, this year we are holding a Bicycle x RC race on Sunday the 30th starting at 11:00 AM!
RC Bike Relay
This is a simplified version of the mixed race we hold together with the well-known BLOCKHEAD MOTORS and Bike Land. You start with the RC car loaded on your bicycle, ride a short course, take the RC off the bike, and then head to the RC course. This is done in a relay format.
We also have rentals available for those without bicycles. We have sizes for both adults and children!
RC Bike Relay Rules
Relay race with 4-person teams (teams will be formed on the day)
Must include at least one child (elementary school student)
- Start with the RC car loaded on the bike (children do not need to load one)
- Ride one lap around the grassy bike course visible from within the venue, park your bike in the designated area, and begin operating your RC car
- Complete 3 laps on the RC course, run back to the bike area, and pass the baton to the next person
- The second rider also starts with the RC loaded, and the 4-person team continues this process until crossing the finish line
You may bring your own bike, but rentals are available for both adults and children.
The RC car must be loaded onto the bike.
The transmitter can be carried in a bag or similar.
RC cars can be shared among team members or you can bring your own.
For the sake of going to play with an RC car loaded on a bike
We’ve turned the scenario of loading gear into a basket-equipped bike to head to a local course into a race.
According to Jun-san, the bicycle/RC combination is particularly popular overseas, and at BHM's international events, they usually incorporate bikes into the fun.
More than just a race result, this is a fun event where the joy comes from the chaos of loading, unloading, and riding.
Entry is free! And of course, there are prizes too!
