Next week is Portland Living!!

It’s gotten quite cold lately, hasn’t it!
The mountains feel like they are at peak autumn colors right now, which seems like the perfect season for a ride.

Sugishima hidden hot spring. It was the best.

Places like Korankei are only just starting to show their autumn colors, and it sounds like the peak will be sometime over the next week or two!
But for those thinking that's a bit too far to go, here is an invitation for a ride.

Next week, at Sweet of Oregon in Takabari,
we’ll have the last Portland Living of the year!!

Portland Living
11/20 10:00~16:00 at Sweet of Oregon (Takabari, Meito Ward)

Along with the final farmers market of the year, our very own Pine Fields Market will be opening a stall as well.

Also, there will be a TDX SESSION with Mr. TDX Kobataku, who is currently traveling to Portland just after the presidential election, and the familiar Director Date from Chariken!

This time, under the theme "Why Farmers Markets Now?", they will be welcoming farmers market producers as guest speakers. Mr. Fukuoka from "Budo no Fukuoka," Mr. Ishihara from "Ishihara Farm," and Mr. Tange from "Tange no Nasu" and "Hitori Marche" will all be there to share their thoughts on farmers markets. There will also be a Portland travel report from Mr. Kobataku as an opening talk, which I'm sure many of you are interested in!

This is a reservation-only event, so please book early if you're interested.

So, let's take a relaxing city ride out to Takabari.
It’s been a while, but it’s time for a Sunday Morning Ride!!

Ride To Portland Living

【Date】11/20(Sun)
【Meet】9:00 at in front of Pine Fields Market
【Arrival at destination】10:00, dismiss on-site
【What to bring】 Helmet, gloves, a way to carry back anything you buy at the market (←Important!!)

The straight-line distance from Chiyoda in Naka Ward to the venue is 10km, but I’m planning to take some back roads and maybe swing by N-goya University along the way. It’s a city ride, so come in whatever you feel comfortable in! Of course, those who want to head off somewhere else afterward are more than welcome to join.

Anyone can join, so if you haven't made plans for Sunday yet, please come along!

By the way, we have all the winter gear in the shop that’s perfect for rides this season, so if you haven't prepared yet, we’re waiting for you!

(Should I take the cargo bike... maybe I should help carry some cargo...)
