Tomei POP UP TOUR Vol.8 POC

Strolling around Nagoya with Shiori-san from Takayama Shokubutsu Zukan, who was hosting a POP UP. It was so humid that even the Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER was shrouded in mist.

The rainy season has arrived, but has it already ended?
These days, the discomfort index is at its maximum, thanks to temperatures that feel like midsummer combined with the high humidity of the rainy season. Even so, I continue to commute by bike and keep turning the pedals on my rides during the weekends. While one might feel the urge to strip off everything they’re wearing and head out, doing so comes with various risks, and the damage would affect both myself and those around me.

At times like these, I want to wear helmets, eyewear, and apparel that offer excellent functionality and comfort so I can enjoy a safe and comfortable cycling life.

Shiori-san from Takayama Shokubutsu Zukan and her husband, Hiro-san, both wear POC helmets. They also share the same bike, the WILDE BICYCLE CO. Rumbler SL.

POC, a brand from Sweden, offers a comprehensive range of these items. We will be holding a POP UP STORE starting next week, so please be sure to come by. I’m sure you’ll find the perfect item for your cycling life.

Also, this POP UP will once again be a Tokai-Kanto tour, connecting Circles and Circles Tokyo.

POC

POC is an up-and-coming Swedish brand. They hold patents for material combinations and structures, and work daily to improve protection performance. Stockholm is a center that gathers Europe's best technology in many fields, including safety, medicine, insurance, and performance testing.

At POC’s research lab located in the suburbs of Stockholm, specialists from various fields—including material scientists, industrial designers, graphic designers, neurologists, and spinal cord injury researchers—conduct research from their respective perspectives to develop outstanding products.

Every product is tested repeatedly by top athletes to enhance protection performance. Athletes are always pushing themselves to the limit in the field, where risks of abrasions, bruises, and spinal or brain injuries lurk. Research and development are carried out to bring these risks as close to zero as possible, resulting in the creation of superior products.

POC does their best in product development. They never compromise, even when it involves profit or costs, in order to achieve excellent safety, quality, and performance.

John is on the left, and Yoshi on the right is also a fan of POC.

John, a staff member at Circles Tokyo, is also a fan of POC helmets, and his review blog has been posted, so please check it out. He bought a new one for his ride from Tokyo to Nagoya last year, and it seems he has become captivated by its lightness and high breathability.

Also, this season's highlight, the Omne Lite WF in the Japan Limited color, Mineral Grey Matt, has arrived, so please don't miss it—be sure to check it out along with our POP UP STORE!
