Packing with a focus on the front triangle
Beyond just bikepacking, when you try to make good use of your bicycle for touring, long rides, or even daily commuting and errands, the need to "carry cargo" often arises.
There are many ways to carry luggage, but you'll likely learn through experience that carrying it on the bike is less fatiguing than carrying it on your back, and that loading it in the bike's front triangle has less impact on ride quality than putting it on the handlebars or a rack.
It's inevitable that things like water bottles or e-bike batteries end up in the front triangle for this reason.
However, unlike saddles and handlebars, frame shapes vary infinitely. Off-the-shelf frame bags often result in gaps or interfere with water bottles.
That's where custom frame bag orders come in. Porcelain Rocket is one of the few manufacturers that offers fully custom orders.
