Well, I’m sporting a solid sunburn and feeling a bit flushed, and between that and the muscle soreness that kicked in yesterday, the fun of OMM this past weekend still hasn’t left my system!
The Circles team participated in OMM with a big group again this year. Many arrived at the venue on Friday evening, and a lot of people stopped by our booth. It was so great to see some try on and buy BEDROCK sandals only to head straight into the race with them, or pick up Taco pedals and put them to use right on the course. A huge thank you to everyone who dropped by! By the way, it was impressive to see a significant increase in the number of people racing with BEDROCK compared to last year.
We were worried about the weather, but aside from a little rain at night, we were blessed with great weather for all three days. Hakuba felt nice and comfortable compared to Nagoya, though with the sun beating down during the day, it was quite a tough race.
Since I didn’t have a race buddy this year, I joined as the photo crew, chasing after various teams with a camera on my back. Once I started running, I couldn't help but feel that excitement—that feeling of wanting to flip the switch—but I kept my eagerness in check and stuck to my job as the photographer (lol).

As a complete side note, I found a really nice-looking stream while out riding, so if I join as the photo crew again next year, I’m already plotting not to forget my fly fishing rod! 🚲🎣 (lol).
I think OMM LITE/BIKE is truly a one-of-a-kind event that brings together fans of all kinds of outdoor activities—not just biking, but also running and hiking. Even if you don't race, you can join the campsite and enjoy Hakuba, making it the perfect event to attend with family and friends. I'm already looking forward to next year! Thank you to all the operation staff, volunteers, participants, and vendors!
