It’s that time of year again!! HangOut!!, the hands-on outdoor event held at Aichi Prefectural Forest in Shinshiro City, Aichi Prefecture, is already celebrating its 4th year!
HangOut is an exhibition and experience-based event where famous domestic and international brands specializing in trail running, backpacking, and more gather in one place!
Also, on Sunday at the same venue, a trail running event called Damonde Trail will be held, making for two days of fun that transcends various genres.
Of course, Circles will be there again this year! Since it’s a hands-on event, as a bike shop, we’ve made sure to come fully prepared!!
This year, we are planning a park ride tour that was a huge hit last year, using test bikes borrowed from Motocross International, well-known for SURLY and ALL-CITY—brands that have both had a booth at HangOut since the very first event!
The venue has gravel double-track, so we want you to get on as many different bikes as possible and feel the differences for yourself!!
And on top of that! This year, we’re not just doing ride tours; we’ll also be holding bushcraft campfire workshops using the FIRE BOX stoves that we carry at Circles, as well as rope-work technique workshops that come in handy for disasters, both days!!
I’m JUS, a lover of bikes and bushcraft camping, and I’ll be teaching bushcraft campfire techniques to help you enjoy a fire while bike packing or touring, as well as simple, useful rope work for camping and emergencies, so look forward to that!
There’s so much going on that I’m sure to be running around like a headless chicken on my own, but my trusty partner, Circles’ super rock climber Kyon-chan, will be at the booth with me both days, so you might even get to hear stories about hiking, rock climbing, or stream fishing!?
HangOut is an event I look forward to more than anything every year, so I’m going to have a blast myself! (Without getting yelled at by Kyon-chan, hopefully.)
