【GW RIDE】 BIKE TO MOVIE

Golden Week is reaching its final stretch; how has everyone been spending it? I imagine many of you have been going out quite a bit, but it’s also nice to spend the holidays taking things slow. Speaking of taking it easy, I often watch movies, but lately, I haven't been heading to the theater very often.

So, for the final day of the holidays on the 6th, as part of our Circles GW Daily Ride, I’d like to ride our bikes to the theater with you all, catch some films, and enjoy a relaxing time together!

【BIKE TO MOVIE】

Date: May 6, 2019 (Mon)

Meeting Time: 8:00 AM

Meeting Point: PINE FIELDS MARKET

Fee: Free (Tickets and meals are at your own expense)

Films: Dumbo, Green Book

What to bring: Bicycle (any type), lights, lock, helmet

Itinerary: After meeting at PFM, we will have breakfast and then depart. We’ll watch the first film, "Dumbo" (doors open 9:15), at 109 Cinemas Nagoya near Sasashima-raibu Station. Afterward, we will head to Midland Cinema Nagoya Airport in Komaki to watch the second film, "Green Book" (doors open 13:55). The screening is scheduled to end around 4:30 PM, so we will then head back toward Nagoya, take a break at the cafe Bonbon in Higashi Ward to discuss the movies, and then head back to Circles.

The event will be held rain or shine. In case of rain, please be sure to bring rain gear.

※If the time or location doesn't work for your schedule, we will do our best to accommodate those who wish to see only one film or join us for the second one. If you would like to take your bike on a train on the way back, please bring a bike transport bag.

The films chosen for this ride are Tim Burton's "Dumbo" and Peter Farrelly's "Green Book."

Since Tim Burton, who has released numerous popular films like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, is directing Dumbo, this is a film I’ve been really looking forward to. As a Disney fan, I certainly can't miss it.

Next is Green Book; I have high expectations for this one, as it has been nominated for Academy Awards and more. I associate Peter Farrelly’s work with human dramas that incorporate comedic elements, so I’m looking forward to this one as well!

The total distance will be about 35km, so I think it’s a manageable distance even for beginners. Please join us!
Also, since we will be returning in the evening, please make sure to have your lights and gear prepared.

Alright everyone, I’ll be waiting for you at PFM!
