Spring is in full bloom.
This coming weekend, a special event will be held in the parking lot of the cheesecake specialty shop "Sweet of Oregon" located in Makinohara, Meito Ward.
It’s called "PORTLAND LIVING."
This will be the second time this event is held. Portland, which I have visited many times, is the best bike town in America.
It’s a happy event that focuses on the atmosphere, culture, and food of that city and recreates them here in Nagoya.
This event will take place over two days this weekend, Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12th.
In addition to us at Circles, SimWorks, welldone, and Chariken will also be participating. We hope to not only promote American bicycle culture but also share various ideas toward building a better cycling society.
For these two days, we aren't just setting up shop at the venue; we have also planned some rides.
And they are for both days.
Day 1 (4/11) Oregon Bike Ride
Meeting Place: Sweet of Oregon
Time: 9:00 am
Details: Oregon is home to many frame builders. We’d like everyone who rides bikes born there to gather, and let’s go climb Mount Mikuni together. If you ride a Cielo, Breadwinner, DeSalvo, or similar, please come join us.
Day 2 (4/12) Sunday Morning Ride @ Portland living
Meeting Place: Circles
Time: 7:30 am
Details: Portland Living features many farmers markets. Let's all ride out to the morning market together. "But it's tough to carry groceries back from Meito Ward by bike," you say? No need to worry. We will transport your purchases from the venue back to Circles using the cargo bikes that we at Circles are so proud of. So please, shop to your heart's content.
We’re planning for a serious ride on the first day and a more relaxed one on the second, so we hope you’ll join us.
