Recently, within the broader scope of bike touring, the genre of bikepacking—which seeks out off-road trail riding experiences using saddlebags, frame bags, and handlebar bags instead of racks—has seen a major surge in popularity. Leveraging its many years of experience, Blackburn is creating products suited for bikepacking, continuing to share the joy of adventure with cyclists everywhere.
To commemorate Blackburn’s 40th anniversary this year, the company has produced a film. On Friday, September 25th, right after the holiday weekend, we will be hosting a screening of this momentous film, providing an opportunity for you to see Blackburn’s 2016 new products firsthand and place early orders!
Comes With Baggage (TRAILER) from Blackburn Design on Vimeo.
Unraveling the history of American touring culture from its origins to the present day—what did our predecessors think about when they hopped on their bikes, and why do we, living in the modern age, set off on journeys by bicycle?
Let’s watch this emotionally stirring film, featuring testimony from witnesses to history—manufacturers, builders, and riders alike—and discuss the allure of setting out on a journey by bicycle!
