The day has finally arrived! One of the largest outdoor festivals in the Chubu region, “Mori-Michi-Ichiba,” is officially underway!! I wonder what kind of legend our Early Birds team—teaming up with Kakuozan Larder to run the Sneaks booth—will create this year?!
Anyway, time flies, and tomorrow is already June.
For those of you participating in the OMM BIKE/LITE in Hakuba, Nagano on July 13th and 14th, it’s about time you start thinking about your bike and gear choices!
With that in mind, I’d like to invite you to an event today!!
This event is organized by CLAMP, the bike shop from Ina City, Nagano, that took such good care of us during last year’s Ride Alive in the Ina Valley. It’s an officially sanctioned OMM event!
The event follows the same format as the official OMM BIKE/LITE: it's a rogaining-style race where teams of 2 to 5 members must visit checkpoints marked on a map to collect points within a set time limit. Check out the CLAMP website for all the details!!
And here is some great news for those of us who are bad at map reading: they’ll be holding map-reading workshops before and after the race on the first day!! You can put what you've learned into practice on the second day. Maybe this will help you feel more confident for the actual OMM!?
There’s plenty more fun stuff planned, too, like games after the race!
Why not use CMM as a practice run for the actual OMM BIKE/LITE!?
Of course, I’ve already entered with my partners, Inocchi from Welldone and our new member, Mr. Urakabe from TORAYA EQUIPMENT, to make a three-person team!!
