How is everyone enjoying Golden Week? Whether you're already in full relaxation mode or just getting started, it looks like we're in for a nice stretch of weather this year! (Finally!)* It’s going to be a pleasant week ahead, isn't it?＾＾
Well, the other day, we held a CAMERIDE event to coincide with our Peak Design POP UP STORE!
Following our anniversary event last year, this was our second CAMERIDE. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us!
Since this was a collaboration, we adopted a style where everyone attached Peak Design gear to their bikes and headed out! It was so heartening to see everyone listening intently to the lecture while saying things like, "Wow, that's convenient!" and "Oh, so that's how you use it!"
With our favorite gear selected, off we went!
The theme for this ride was "Circles" (Maru)! As we rode and shot, we searched for all the "circles" hiding in our surroundings!
Our destination was the Osu Shopping District. (Probably the closest destination in the history of our rides! Haha). I really love the atmosphere in Osu, where various eras, items, and cultures mingle, combined with the energy of the people. It’s one of my favorite spots, and I feel like the scenery changes every time I go.
Here are the "circles" that everyone found in the Osu Shopping District!

The "circles" that appeared in everyone’s eyes were truly unique to each person, and I was so impressed by how different the results were despite having the same theme!
By the way, I snapped photos of the paper umbrellas and decorative balls hanging from the ceiling of the arcade looking straight up. The "circles" illuminated by the soft spring sun were truly beautiful.
During the ride, we grabbed takeout coffee and cake from mill, a place frequently visited by Tomoyan, who is currently stationed at Circles Tokyo. The sweet and bitter aroma filling the shop, and the messages and illustrations drawn on the takeout cups, brought instant smiles to our faces.
In a nearby park, we held a mini photo-sharing session over coffee and snacks. This time was truly fun—it's the real highlight of CAMERIDE.
Taking pictures is fun, but the time spent sharing them with others is something really special.
And for the finale, we took a quick ride to see the biggest "circle" in Nagoya! If you know Nagoya, you’ll probably have an idea which big circle I’m talking about!! Do you know what it is? ＾＾

This is what our "easy rides" are like—cruising the streets aimlessly with a camera in hand. We welcome beginners in both photography and cycling, and I hope we can bring you another CAMERIDE with a brand-new theme!
