Hi there! I’m Tomoyan, the running enthusiast at Circles.
I participated in the 6th round of the Tokai Cyclocross held at Aichi Farm last weekend, and I’m realizing the unexpected benefits of my daily running since I managed to achieve better results than I had anticipated.

For those of you cyclocrossers who just can't quite reach the podium, running! It's great!
That said, it's also a fact that on these cold days, I find myself reluctant to get started. I'm sure some of you can relate.
What do I do when that happens? I invite someone to run with me! That's it.
I prefer running with someone rather than silently running alone. The same goes for cycling. I usually run at a pace where I can hold a conversation, though we usually just talk about trivial things I can’t even remember later. But I feel like that time is valuable.
I regularly run at Meijo Park and the Higashiyama 10,000-step course, and I always bike to get there, of course.
Cycling to the location, running, and then cycling back home. I'm sure some of you have made this routine part of your daily life just like I have.
So, why not join me for a run at Meijo Park next Sunday (February 12th)?
Let's meet at Circles at 9:00 AM and ride to Meijo Park. I'm planning on doing 3 to 5 laps of the 1.3km Meijo Park running course. As I mentioned before, we'll be running at a conversational pace, so don't worry if you aren't feeling confident in your fitness. They say there are some conversations you can only have while running! I’ll keep your bags like change of clothes safe, so don't worry about that either.
Now, here is this week's new arrivals update from Tomoda.

Setting itself apart from all previous Altra shoes, this road-running shoe uses an engineered knit upper to provide a fit that wraps around your foot as softly as a sock, while also being lightweight thanks to the knit material. While the upper might catch your eye first, the midsole uses an Altra EGO midsole with excellent shock absorption, making for a shoe that balances comfort while also being designed for speed by minimizing the contact area of the sole.
This is a recommended pair for those who don't run on trails but do run in the city. It's a great shoe for Meijo Park as well. We have a full range of sizes, so please come by the store to try them out.
I'll post more details as the date approaches. Let's run together! Everyone come join us.
