Since the opening of Circles Tokyo, I’ve been wanting to ride with everyone in the Kanto region! That’s how the #BIKEtoFestival series came to be—a combination of my personal hobbies and group rides. Our last ride to see the giant koinobori was such an incredible experience, so I hope you’ll join us for this one too!
Our destination this time is the "Suneori Amagoi," a dragon rain-making festival held in Tsurugashima City, Saitama Prefecture. Festivals that are a big undertaking to organize are often held every other year, but this festival, which involves building a massive dragon and plunging it into a pond, happens only once every four years. To make matters more exciting, the last one was canceled due to the Olympics and COVID-19, making this our first chance in eight years. The anticipation is building!

And once again, our ride will be attended by Kako-kun from #ArakawaOutback. He is a man who knows the paths of the Arakawa basin inside and out. I have high expectations for this ride as well.
We plan to ride about 50km in the morning, grab some lunch, and then after watching the festival, ride another 30-40km to reach our goal in Ogawa Town. Both legs of the trip look to have a high percentage of gravel. Joining for only the morning or afternoon portion is also perfectly fine.
We won't be riding at a very high speed, but we do ask that participants be able to handle their own mechanical issues.

We’ll wrap up in Ogawa Town, but since it’s home to many great spots—like the familiar Bikelore favorite Mugi-Zakkoku Kobo, the new wine stand "mart," and the renowned Ota Hormone—let's grab a drink before heading home by train.
