【BIKE to Mori, Michi, Ichiba Ride Tour】Learn Before You Go! First Aid Workshop & Bike Packing School

The cold month of February is behind us, and as we enter March, we can finally start to feel the warmth of spring. While the mornings and evenings still have a slight chill, the sun feels pleasant during the day, making it the perfect season to head outdoors and get active.

This is the perfect time to hop on your bike and ride a little further than usual. At Circles, we are organizing a variety of rides, so let’s head out together to find the signs of spring and gently shake off the sluggishness of winter!

Among these, we will be holding the BIKE to Mori, Michi, Ichiba Ride Tour at the end of May.
This tour is all about enjoying the journey to the event as if you were traveling by bike, keeping an eye on the scenery and local areas along the way.

The charm of this ride is that it’s not just about going to the event; it’s about enjoying the roadside views, the stops along the way, and the time spent riding with fellow cycling enthusiasts. When you reach the finish line at the event site, I’m sure you’ll be able to enjoy Mori, Michi, Ichiba with a special feeling like never before.

Highlights of the BIKE to Mori, Michi, Ichiba Ride Tour

This year, we will be starting from two locations: Nagoya and Okazaki. Here is an introduction to what both courses have to offer.

⚫︎Okazaki Course (approx. 40km)

The starting point is Okazaki Micro Hotel ANGLE.
While we wait for the Nagoya group to join us, Kei-san from Hotel ANGLE will be organizing a mini sightseeing ride around Okazaki city!

Guided by Kei-san, who knows the local area inside and out, this is a time to enjoy the streets of Okazaki at a leisurely pace, taking in scenes you might otherwise pass by. Feeling the atmosphere of the town as you ride and finding delicious treats are part of the joy of starting the trip this way. After meeting up with the Nagoya group, we will all set off for the venue.

We have chosen a route with as few ups and downs as possible so that even those attempting a long-distance ride for the first time can participate with ease. We’re planning stops at delicious bakeries and other spots along the way, so please join us without any worries!

⚫︎Nagoya Course (approx. 100km)

When we go on long-distance rides, we prioritize "roads with few traffic lights, beautiful scenery, and low car traffic." As I mentioned in my previous blog, the Nagoya course starts at Circles and heads toward the Tenpaku River. We will follow the river, which is relatively easy to ride along even within the city, occasionally mixing in backroads as we make our way toward Okazaki.

Some might feel intimidated by the 100km distance, but most of the route is flat. We will take breaks along the way, so when you’re done, I’m sure you’ll feel like "I was able to ride further than I thought!"

I would be happy to share the joy of riding long distances and the casual conversations that happen while pedaling with all of you.

Let’s enjoy the journey to Mori, Michi, Ichiba together!
Please feel free to join us!

We also offer support through our school💪

While long-distance rides are exciting, they can also bring up some worries. But we might be able to resolve those concerns! Although there are many ride events, we know that for some, taking that first step can be difficult... so we have prepared some classes for you.

Please feel free to join us as a first step to enjoying riding even more! 🚲

March 20th (Fri) / First Aid for Body and Bike Workshop (Fieldwork Edition)

Circles periodically holds first aid workshops. This is a time to prepare so that you can calmly handle unexpected troubles during a ride.

We will learn practical knowledge that can be useful in an emergency, including how to deal with injuries in the event of a fall and how to perform roadside repairs if your bike runs into trouble.

Of course, it’s best if no trouble occurs, but just knowing what to do in case of an emergency can significantly increase your peace of mind.

So that you can enjoy the ride with more peace of mind, and so that we can all support one another.

Let’s share the preparation process together, clear away any anxiety, and enjoy the ride to the fullest!

The instructor will be yours truly, Daisaku!
I have even used rinko over 30 times in a single year.

I’ll share "rinko tips" I’ve learned from actual experience and some handy tricks so that even first-timers can participate with confidence!

Once you learn how to do it, your range of cycling fun will broaden significantly.

If you want to join the Okazaki departure ride but live in Nagoya or far away and are worried about how to get to Okazaki, this school is for you!
