Even with the temperatures still a bit low, you can start to feel the warmth of spring in the air. Well, now that the best season is just around the corner, we’d like to invite you on a ride.

It’s back again this year: "Mitakesan Festival 2024," the block party hosted by Mitakegoya, a farm producing organic strawberries and peanuts!
True to its cute title and graphics, it’s a fun event that the whole family can join, but you can catch glimpses of a hardcore edge here and there. And for good reason—first, organic strawberry farming is so difficult that almost no one else does it (strawberries are among the most pesticide-intensive crops), yet they are taking on that challenge. Furthermore, as key young members of the Toyota-based "Hashi no Shita" festival, the way they live is truly unconventional and cool. That is Mr. Hayashi of Mitakegoya, a farmer of the new generation.

The story behind their organic strawberry cultivation is fascinating, but we’ll save that for another time. For now, let’s ride together to "Sanfes," which will feature various workshops and live performances. It’s about 20km one way. There’s some gravel, but any type of bicycle and any beginner will be just fine.
