The summer heat has subsided, and we've been having many more comfortable days lately. It’s the perfect season for riding, of course, or any other activity, but it’s still a season where sandals are perfectly at home.
In the midst of this, a new lineup from Bedrock Sandals, based in Richmond, California, has arrived. (To tell you the truth, we had planned to order the classic models, but since their stock was completely depleted at headquarters, we ended up ordering these new models instead!)
The Cairn 3D, which has joined the new lineup, is a renewal of the previous model that retains the base design while offering a more comfortable fit and superior durability.
What’s worth noting is the footbed, which features a topography-like pattern. The design, scattered with small pentagons, provides excellent grip whether dry or wet. It also has great drainage, allowing sweat and water to escape, which keeps it breathable and hygienic—ensuring it performs well even during long hours of use.
Additionally, the new footbed utilizes an anatomically molded design that supports the toes and the arch of the foot. This enhances support while the sole thickness has been increased from the previous 14mm to 16mm, specifically designed for those looking to take on long miles. Because of this, it provides just the right amount of cushioning, making it comfortable for riding, hiking, and more. Once you experience how good they feel to wear, you’ll be hooked.

Of course, it also features their signature three-strap system centered around an O-ring on the instep, which holds the foot firmly in place. For the coming season, we recommend pairing them with Tabby Light socks released by RAL.
