Have you read the blog about Tokyo store’s Ishikawa-san getting his hands on a BREADWINNER A-Road yet?
After reading that blog, I invited Ishikawa-san to "go for a ride somewhere together!" Haha.
Decided on Lake Suwa!
It’s a place I pass by on the way to go mountain biking at Fujimi Panorama, and somewhere I’ve kind of just zipped past on my way to OMM Hakuba.
Thinking about it, we realized, "We've never actually ridden there properly, have we?" And so!
We decided, let's do a "Suwa-ichi" (a lap of Lake Suwa)!
Super easy to ride
A lap around Lake Suwa is about 16km.
The lakeside path has well-maintained bicycle lanes, making it quite easy to ride.
You don't have to worry about cars while enjoying the scenery, so it’s perfect for a laid-back cruise!

The time spent casually tracing the perimeter of the lake was so pleasant,
it made me feel like these are the moments I need to cherish.

Aiming for the observation deck
While riding along the lake, we spotted an observation deck that looked like it would offer a great panoramic view of Lake Suwa.
We love detours, so whenever we find something like this, we just can't help ourselves!
So, of course, we decided to climb it.

However, this was about five times harder than I imagined. Haha.
The slope was steeper than expected, and since our vibe was just "let's check it out," it really caught us off guard! Haha.

But funny enough, the view you earn after really pushing yourself is always the one that sticks in your memory the most.

Can’t forget the food
We went to Mapo Shokudo Dondon, recommended by Early Birds' Keita-san.
No joke, it was the best mapo tofu I've ever had in my life!!
It was just so incredibly savory, everyone went for seconds on the rice! Haha.

If you ever go to Suwa, you’ve gotta check it out!!
In closing
Up until now, Suwa was just a place I was curious about but never actually went to.
Having ridden there, I realize now what I was missing out on.

This ride reminded me that taking action on even a small bit of curiosity really enriches life.
Lake Suwa is awesome...!
