【Event Info】First time exhibiting! Akigase Forest Bikerally 2024

As previously announced, the Circles 18th Anniversary Party is fast approaching, but this year, we’ll also be participating in a major event the following week!

That event is none other than Akigase Forest Bikelore 2024!

That’s right. Circles is finally joining Akigase Forest Bikelore! Our anniversary event has overlapped with Bikelore dates in previous years, always forcing us to make difficult decisions, but as soon as the schedule for this year was set, we decided immediately to set up a booth!

Together with the staff from Circles Tokyo, which opened this spring, we are sending some heavy hitters from Nagoya as well, and even though it’s our first time at Akigase, we plan to host a booth that is truly “Circles-style.”

So, be sure to check out what we’ve got in store!

Circles Handmade Bicycle Show

First and foremost, this is our main highlight! Since we’re going all the way from Nagoya, we wanted to do something only Circles could pull off. While the “MADE” show has been gaining momentum over the last few years, Japan can’t be left behind. So, we’ve gathered the handmade bikes that Circles specializes in for a Handmade Bicycle Show at Akigase!

An entire lineup of handmade brands available for order at Circles will be on display, and we’ll be taking consultations for your dream bike while you check out the real deal in person.

The photos are just a preview, but we’ll be bringing plenty of bikes from the handmade builders handled by Circles, led by the ones shown above. Even just coming to see this will be worth it.

Also, between us, you’ll be able to get an early look at that bike, which is expected to be unveiled right around the time Akigase is held. If you’ve been considering it, you’ll even be able to hop on the real thing, so you definitely don’t want to miss it.

Yanase and Shige will be stationed there from Nagoya, so if you are in the Kanto area and considering a custom frame, please come by!

BEDROCK SANDALS Shop

Summer was long this year, but the cold season is finally upon us, making sandals a bit tough to pull off. Because of that, we’ll be hosting a fitting and sales event for the Mountain Clog—BEDROCK SANDALS’ optimal solution for fall and winter—which hasn't had much of a presence in the Kanto area until now.

Gratefully, some colors have already sold out for the season, but we’ll bring as many colors and sizes as possible, so please try them on and find your perfect pair. They make for excellent camp shoes on-site as well!

Circles Souvenir Shop

Beyond that, we’ll be operating as the Circles Souvenir Shop, bringing along a variety of items centered on our original goods.

CHRIS KING Mix’n Match Headset

This is a hidden gem that actually gets overshadowed by the handmade show. We’ll be selling CHRIS KING Mix’n Match Headsets, which allow you to combine colors of your choosing—exclusively at the venue.

We’ll have them available in two models: the classic NoThreadSet 1-1/8″ and the InSet7! Quantities are limited, so don’t miss this opportunity!

Circles Original Goods

Along with our original goods, you can also purchase items that are usually only available at Circles Tokyo.

Additionally, we plan to sell our Circles 18th Anniversary goods—which are being prepared for the anniversary party in Nagoya the week before—at Akigase as well. So even if you can’t make it to the Nagoya party, be sure to pick up your anniversary gear at Akigase!

And that’s not all! Beyond our booth, we’re also hosting a title race this time.

OMNIUM Present Cargo Bike Race

We have planned a cargo bike race presented by the familiar OMNIUM . It will take place on Saturday the 7th from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.

As the use of cargo bikes for transport and logistics rapidly expands in cities worldwide, OMNIUM was created by “By-Expressen,” the world’s fastest messenger company based in the cycle-friendly city of Copenhagen, Denmark. They built these "high-performance" cargo bikes to be used to their limits for both work and play.

In this cargo bike race, supported by OMNIUM—the bikes that run as well as they carry—we will compete in transporting larger-than-usual loads. Of course, as usual, any bike with a "load-carrying device" is fine, whether it’s a city bike with a basket or a long-tail cargo bike. Just be ready to handle a bulky load!

Our staff also plans to participate in an OMNIUM bike that was just built recently!

We are eagerly looking for challengers, so we look forward to your entry below!

So, Akigase Forest Bikelore is packed with content, and the Circles booth will be equally packed, so please come by and join the fun!
