"Nadaraka Cycling Club" is a riding community led by Rie, a former Daisy Messenger. Their annual spring ride is coming up. Knowing the history of the roads you're cycling on makes the ride even more enjoyable.
This event is open to women only. This ride along the old Tokaido road will also serve as a practice run for the "BIKE to Mori, Michi, Ichiba" event in May. It's a relaxed ride where some participants even use shared bikes, but you’re sure to learn something along the way. We hope you will join us.
This spring, we are holding another "Nadaraka Kaido Ride" exclusively for women.
To serve as a prologue for May's "Bike to Mori, Michi, Ichiba" (planned for the former Tokaido/Goyu-shuku area), we have chosen a route that follows the old Tokaido road within Nagoya city.
"Nadaraka Kaido Ride 2023 Spring"
For this 5th edition, we will explore the old Tokaido road south of Atsuta Jingu Shrine and along two rivers (the Horigawa and Shin-horigawa). Just like last time, there will be a quiz at each checkpoint. We will ride slowly together.
The souvenir after the ride will be an original aroma spray. Connect the answers to the quiz, and they will spell out the name of the aroma.
The route is mostly flat, so you are welcome to participate with any type of bicycle, including shared bikes.
