【VANS】Is the Old Skool the New Skool?

Lately, when it comes to morning activities, Tomoyan has been exclusively skating at the Wakamiya park. He truly embodies the phrase "practice doesn't lie," as he seems to get better day by day. I really respect that.

While talking to Tomoyan, we thought, "Hey, this is great!" and, through a stroke of luck, we decided to stock these. Yes, we are a bike shop, but these are VANS!

[VANS] Old Skool Pro

¥11,000 (excl. tax)

What kind of shoes do you usually wear when you ride your bike? Personally, my roots are in track bikes, so based on that experience, I usually wear the most durable sneakers I can find. VANS, ADIDAS SB, and so on. Since the soles wear out quickly while I'm working in the shop, I just need something really tough.

Speaking of the VANS Old Skool, it debuted as what is commonly known as "Style 36," and the brand's iconic Vans side stripe was actually born with this model.

The Old Skool Pro introduced here is an updated version of that classic Old Skool for professional skaters. It features exceptional cushioning thanks to the UltraCush polyurethane-based cup insole.

While they are of course great for skating, the Old Skool was originally designed for BMX. The superior grip of the soles makes them easy to use not just for BMX, but also for trail rides and track bikes in the city, and the best part is their durability.

Clipless shoes are convenient, of course, and if you're a runner, trail running shoes are perfectly fine for cycling too. With these hot days continuing, I sometimes feel like riding in BEDROCK sandals as well!

The Old Skool we're introducing this time is just one option, but it's not a bad idea to head out for a ride in shoes you're already used to wearing. Personally, I feel like mountain biking in these is the "new school" way of doing things these days!

We only have one of each size in stock, so if you're interested, please come by and try them on!

We've also uploaded other VANS-related products, including grips and tires that feature the VANS sole pattern, so be sure to check those out!
