This BASSI Hog’s Back has ridden everywhere with its owner, from the daily commute to little weekend adventures.
The owner asked us to refresh it with an overhaul × Kyutai Paint.
The Hog’s Back can do it all!!

Made by C&L Cycles in Montreal, Canada, the BASSI Hog’s Back is an all-road frame that can carry loads big and small anywhere, from city streets to unpaved roads.
Disc brakes, generous tire clearance, plenty of mounting bosses: it's a bike that can simply handle anything.
This owner has truly put all of that to use.
Their request, “keeping it going for a long time is what matters most,” was music to our ears.
The rider's attention to detail, right there in the cockpit
The first thing that catches your eye is how nicely the cockpit comes together.
The bar is the SIMWORKS Little Nick Bar.

A staple flat bar here at Circles, its simple shape and comfortable grip make it a perfect fit for a well-ridden bike.
The brake levers are Avid, and their silver bodies neatly tighten up the overall look.
Freshened up with an overhaul

We kept the basic parts build as is, and gave each part and all the bearings a thorough service.
We also swapped the cables for SIMWORKS by Nissen, bringing back smooth braking and shifting.

The feel of the cables alone can completely change how a bike rides.
It's one custom upgrade we'd really like you to try.
An update with Kyutai Paint
The highlight this time is a paint job by our own Kyutai Paint.
The metallic silver shows all kinds of faces depending on how the light hits it.

It feels less like a simple repaint and more like the bike has gained a whole new personality!
The current colors are Sparkle Beige and Matte Black!!
Ride it as is, or paint it like the owner we featured here, either way works!
The Hog’s Back is a true BASSI, letting you move easily between city riding and touring, everyday life and play.
