SundayMorningRide!!

It's perfect weather for cycling.
At this time of year, I’m more in the mood for a leisurely ride.
It’s great for enjoying the scenery or just chatting with friends.

So, for the next two days, Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th, we have a packed schedule where you can join us for group rides, enjoy delicious food, experience bicycle culture, and watch races together.
It’s going to be two days dedicated to fully enjoying bicycles.

Riding and building bikes. Playing with bikes and expressing yourself. Rides, maintenance, apparel, custom hand-built frames, manufacturing, photography, film, music, and art. A space for bicycles created by the participation of citizens.
It’s an exhibition gathering Owari’s bicycle culture: the “Greater Nagoya Bicycle Culture Exhibition.”

On Saturday night, we’ll be holding a bicycle orienteering event through the streets of Nagoya!
【Urban Ride Nagoya!】
A gentle spring night.
Why not head out and have some fun on your bike?
A relaxed, slow-paced orienteering ride through Nagoya city.
Please bring your bike, lights, and a fun-loving spirit.
Stay safe.

“URBAN RIDE NAGOYA”
Meeting Point: parlwr @ April 12th (Sat) 20:30
Participation Fee: 500 yen
Details: Bicycle orienteering through the city at night.
*Cancelled in case of rain

How about waking up a little early on Sunday morning for a relaxed group ride with everyone?
【SundayMorningRide!!】
Meeting Point/Time: EarlyBirds / 7:00~8:00
Participation Fee: ¥100 (Participants will receive a ¥100 coin to use at EarlyBirds that day.)
What to bring: Helmet, gloves
*The round trip is about 10km, so it isn’t too hard, but please be aware of heavy traffic and potential strong winds.
We want to keep things safe, so your cooperation is appreciated.

Last time, the SundayMorningRide!! was cancelled due to rain.
It’s a real shame because I heard there were a lot of first-time participants.
For this one, we’re planning to head to “Yamazakigawa-Parlwr” (a play on Paris-Roubaix).
It’s the same Yamazakigawa location we had planned for the cherry blossom ride.
The cherry blossoms have shifted from pure white to a vibrant green, but it’s still a highly recommended spot for a relaxing chat and a cycle.
Then, after the customary commemorative photo, we’ll head to the “Greater Nagoya Bicycle Culture Exhibition” being held at parlwr in Shinsakae.

Of course, there’s food waiting for you after the ride!

You can enjoy a meal while appreciating fantastic works, including delicious coffee from Rie Sawada of CharRie’s Cafe, who is back in Japan temporarily from the U.S., and tasty home cooking made by the wife of Izuru-san from the Nagoya courier company “Daisy Messenger.”

I’ve only introduced a small fraction of what’s in store, so there are plenty of other exhibits to look forward to!

And why not get rowdy at night and watch a historic race with everyone?
【Paris-Roubaix Viewing Party】
Date: April 13th (Sun) 20:30 until the end of the race.
Venue: EARLY BIRDS

Note: Pizza will also be available for one coin.

The spring classic race, “Paris-Roubaix,” is finally upon us this Sunday.
The Carrefour de l’Arbre, a difficult cobblestone section near the finish line, is truly a sight to behold.

It’s just too exciting, isn’t it!
It’s sure to be a fun event.
Of course, first-timers are more than welcome, so please invite your friends or that special someone and join us!
