Seven bikes aren’t all about titanium. It’s surprisingly little-known, but they also build steel bikes.
Custom design in bicycles is like architecture; finding the right balance point changes everything. The key to making the ultimate custom frame is that very balance, and to achieve it, having a wide range of choices is essential.
Seven’s workshop is well-stocked with various types of tubing. Beyond the differences in materials—steel, titanium, and carbon—there is a vast variety of tube diameters and wall thicknesses. Most are butted, and by skillfully combining them, they guide the rider’s preferences and the bicycle’s ride quality to the highest level.
To select the appropriate tubes, it is crucial to know not only the rider’s physical characteristics—such as height, weight, leg length, and flexibility—but also what kind of riding they enjoy on a daily basis. Aesthetic beauty is important, as is how aggressively the rider wants to push their dream bike, or how comfortably they want to ride it. For this reason, Seven’s order sheet requires detailed information. From there, they interpret the feeling the customer is seeking, and by applying adjustments to the base tube specifications based on the wealth of data Seven has accumulated and the experience of builders who are real cyclists themselves, the custom frame is actually brought to life.
Consequently, every Seven bike is different; each is individual and unique, and each is a dream bike for its owner. This unique Seven fitting method is applied to their steel frames just as it is to their titanium frames.
This completed Axiom Steel is finished as a very composed bike. With frame stiffness and handling adjusted with the primary premise of comfortably enjoying long rides, and by taking advantage of the ride quality inherent to steel’s "whip," it allows the rider to pleasantly enjoy 100km to 150km rides to the fullest. Yes, lightness is not the absolute truth for everyone; what is "right" changes according to the rider’s needs, and in this case, that meant stability.
What is important to you in the new bike you seek?
And how do we digest that and give it shape?
Seven’s custom ordering makes that a reality.
We are always waiting to discuss your ideas.
