The new color is called Matte Mystic Green / Black, and the number of units imported into Japan is limited. This unique autumnal color has a calm look that blends in well on the trails.
Naturally, the trademark Smith honeycomb structure known as Aerocore (Koroyd) is present. Instead of placing it everywhere, it is positioned specifically on the sides of the head where the risk is highest in a crash; this keeps the weight down and allows for large vents that provide excellent ventilation.
Despite being priced under 30,000 yen, it features the MIPS system, which plays an important role in reducing brain damage and preventing concussions by allowing the helmet to absorb and redirect impact energy in the event of a fall.
