Get Smith helmets at a special price!

Bob Smith, a dentist and passionate skier, wanted comfortable, fog-free goggles, so he developed the world’s first double-lens goggles himself. The fact that he used to trade those prototypes for lift tickets on the slopes was what sparked the launch of the SmithOptics brand.

Even after the brand was established, the desire to take on new challenges never ceased, becoming something of a credo for SmithOptics. The company has continued to develop various technologies, such as the Regulator system, Turbo Fan system, and lens exchange systems, to create innovative eyewear. And this spirit of continuous new product development extends beyond eyewear into helmets for the winter sports field as well.

It was with Smith Optics products that we at Circles first began carrying eyewear. This is because we were drawn to their commitment to remaining an innovator.

It was last year that Smith Optics set out to enter the new field of cycling, and their cycling helmets also became models that adopted unprecedented new technologies.

Their most prominent feature is the use of Koroyd, a polymer material that offers over 30% higher impact absorption than the EPS material commonly used in helmets. As a result, Smith's cycling helmets have achieved a high level of total balance, meeting the necessary helmet requirements of lightweight design, ventilation, impact protection, and aerodynamics.

Furthermore, these helmets are not only technologically advanced but also boast an innovative look, with both the road-use OVERTAKE and the MTB-use FOREFRONT receiving high acclaim from many cyclists.

[Smith Optics] Overtake Old Colors ¥33,000 (excl. tax) → ¥24,000 (excl. tax)

With the cooperation of Smith Japan, we are able to offer these colors—three for the OVERTAKE and four for the FOREFRONT—which are being dropped as we transition from 2015 to 2016 models, at a special price. There are no changes other than color variations between the 2015 and 2016 models, so if you have been interested in a SmithOptics helmet, please do not miss this opportunity! The colors not introduced here will be carried over to the 2016 models. We have those in stock at the store as well, so please come by if you would like to try them on.
