Due to the unfortunate weather yesterday, we regretfully canceled the LIFE-SPEC MORNING ATB RIDE. However, since the two from Deeper's made the trip out, we decided to head out on a ride to Bonbon to introduce them to the basics of a classic Nagoya coffee shop.

Bonbon opens at 8:00 AM, and despite it being a rainy Sunday, the place was bustling from the morning.

Stepping into the historic interior, you’re greeted by a unique atmosphere you won’t soon forget: the faint scent of tobacco, the human drama among the regulars, and the service from the slightly quirky waiters. I would have liked to go for the classic fresh roll cake, but I chose the omelette this time. The two from Deeper's were also stumped by the extensive cake menu, but they thoroughly enjoyed their first experience at Bonbon.
With the weather gradually warming up, I’ve been feeling the urge to just hop on my bike and head out. For those days, we’ve finally received the long-awaited optimal solution from Strawfoot for carrying the things you want to keep handy.
【Strawfoot】 Simple Bar Bag ¥8,800 (excl. tax)
When you head out on a ride purely for the sake of riding, you often end up keeping your carry-on items to a minimum, tucking them into your jersey back pockets or a seat bag. However, this Simple Bar Bag is the perfect solution for carrying items like a camera or a tumbler to make your ride more enjoyable and enriched. Of course, the biggest advantage of this bag is how easily you can reach in and grab those items when the mood strikes. It’s also great for storing wind jackets, vests, and other layers, making it a must-have for casual, "just popping out" kind of rides.

While Strawfoot typically makes these handlebar bags out of nylon, this version is produced in two-tone waxed canvas at the request of SimWorks. In addition to the simple construction using nylon straps to hang from the handlebars, it features a cord that attaches to your cable housings or head tube to keep it from bouncing around while you ride. Another great feature is the unique trapezoidal shape, which ensures it sits neatly when viewed from the front.
On a personal note, I’ve found it’s the perfect size and shape for picking up some Tasu onigiri on a ride. Strawfoot also releases Simple Seat Bags and Road Bags in the same material, so why not coordinate your favorite colors and head out for a spring ride?
