This is actually great news for those of us who are mechanics!
This is called a hook band, and it's a part for installing HONJO fenders that allows you to secure the fender by hooking it onto the chainstay bridge, even if it doesn't have an eyelet.
Recently, more people have been installing Honjo fenders themselves, so if you have any questions during installation, please feel free to ask us!

The main frame of the On The Road carrier is formed by bending a single chromoly tube, combining both aesthetic beauty and durability.
The black version is electro-coated after a nickel-plating treatment, so it’s designed to resist corrosion even if the black finish begins to wear off.
