Shige’s Bike No. 3.
I might be better known for riding road bikes, but I’ve always kept an open mind across all genres. I also love mountain cycling.
As someone who likes trying new things, I wanted to take on the 650B challenge, and I think it fits my smaller frame perfectly.
With stable handling that lacks any quirks, it’s a bike that makes trail riding even more fun.
For the brakes, I went with the reliable XT, and for the build, I kept it simple and committed to a single-speed setup.
With events like SSJ, I rarely find the opportunity to switch to gears (though trail riding on a single-speed is fun in its own right), but if I were to add gears, I wouldn’t hesitate to choose XT again.
