Schwalbe's new tires look quite promising.

Actually, there is a new Schwalbe tire that I've seen at exhibitions and elsewhere but haven't introduced yet; it's not that I was saving it for a special occasion. This quite interesting tire, which has clincher, tubeless, and tubular lineups, is named "Schwalbe One" and is a "faster-rolling" tire that surpasses the manufacturer's classic model, the "Ultremo ZX." This time, the tubular version has arrived ahead of the rest!

Of course, it doesn't just roll well; it also features improved puncture resistance and a reinforced transition between the tread and the sidewall, making it more resistant to cuts.

This tubular, in particular, feels quite supple. It’s also recommended for gravel riding! I like that the available sizes were chosen with that in mind. In a time when skin-side tires have been dominant, this all-black look is cool. If you’re looking for something similar, there are also options from brands like Panaracer or Dugast, so take your pick!

Dugast “Paris Roubaix Cotton”

The oversized package that stands out even in our tire section makes me feel the passion Schwalbe has for this tire! (The real reason for the large package is that tubular tires cannot be bent indiscriminately.) Expectations are also running high for the tubeless version scheduled to arrive in the spring. Since there are still so few options for tubeless, I’m eagerly awaiting its arrival.
