I went on a CRC Ride this morning.
I met up with Max Lundbeck at Early Birds at 6:00 AM, and we rode together to the meeting point in Seto.
He's a very friendly, nice guy, and he happily shared the news that his first child was recently born. Just like Mike DeSalvo, Jeremy Sycip, and Tony Pereira, I'm sure he'll make a great, doting parent.
Having lived in Nagoya for about a year, he mentioned he often used to ride up Mount Mikuni, so I incorporated that into our route this time. However, I chose an exceptional path that he had never ridden before. Well, it was a pretty tough route to use as an icebreaker, but I'm glad he seemed to enjoy it. If anything, I think I had the rougher time of it (lol).
Thank you to everyone who showed up despite the last-minute notice. He was also happy that it turned out to be such a fun ride.
I'm also grateful that he was able to join us like this, having arrived in Japan just the day before and with plans scheduled for the afternoon.
Let's ride together again!
