The Tabby Light is a tabi-style (split-toe) sock that uses merino wool as its main fabric, allowing you to stay comfortable even in hot weather. Its high moisture absorption wicks away sweat, while its anti-bacterial and odor-resistant properties are a big plus during this sweaty season. The instep features a mesh knit for increased breathability. Furthermore, to increase durability, we have blended in reinforced thread at the toe, ball of the foot, and heel, where stress is highest. Because of this, the area circling from the ball of the foot to the instep is knit plainly rather than with mesh.
Also, by increasing the stitch count compared to the previous model, we have achieved higher elasticity, making them softer and easier to wear. In addition, we have expanded our size range from S to XL.
Tabi-style socks, which separate the big toe, allow you to firmly grip the ground with your feet, and they improve comfort by providing fabric in the area between the big toe and second toe, where there is a large surface area for sweat to accumulate. Of course, our favorite way to wear them is in combination with Bedrock Sandals when enjoying various activities.
This season also features a wider variety than ever before. We have a lineup of two patterns—a stripe-style and a block-style—each in three colors.
Once again, supervised by Motonome Nakamura of EDIT design&supply—a graphic designer and a leading figure in the hiking and running community in the Tokai region—we have curated a magical color selection that is easy to pair with any outfit while also serving as a subtle accent.
