Last year, as RAL meets holk, we collaborated with holk to bring our vision for chambray and corduroy shirts to life, and we are now excited to introduce our new sweatshirt.
Since its debut as sportswear, the sweatshirt has established itself over time as a standard in casual wear—a piece that everyone has worn at least once. Naturally, we ourselves wear them constantly as an essential daily staple for the three seasons outside of summer.
This Player Sweatshirt also features a simple, crew-neck look, making it a reliable piece you can throw on anytime without hesitation. We’ve kept that core style while adding our own essence to it.
With riding a bike or other active movements in mind, we designed it with slightly longer body and sleeve lengths so they won't feel short or ride up. The body is cut slightly wider for a relaxed silhouette. Conversely, by using a cleaner pattern for the shoulders and armholes, it isn't just loose and comfortable; it maintains a well-balanced, refined look suitable for casual wear.
Of course, this Player Sweatshirt features two back pockets—the hallmark of RAL Wear. Since the openings are equipped with zippers, you can safely store items like keys or your phone.

The fabric used is 100% cotton, slowly woven on traditional loopwheel machines that remain in Wakayama, the home of sweatshirt production. These machines knit the fabric without putting unnecessary stress on the yarn, resulting in a material that is light, soft to the touch, and highly durable, with a unique elasticity. The ribbed cuffs and hem are also soft and won't constrict, and they are designed to resist losing their shape even after long-term wear. We want you to wear it and enjoy it without worrying about the strain on the fabric.
With a silhouette that makes it easy to layer under a jacket, it’s perfect for the current season, but it also makes us look forward to the warmer days ahead when we can wear it on its own. Available in two colors—grey and white—and in three sizes: S, M, and L.
Once again, the partner who helped us realize our vision is holk, a brand based right here in Aichi.
Their studio is currently closed for a long winter break and will reopen on February 23rd. We hear that by then, their new collection will start to arrive.
