It was with the theme of "lightweight and warm" for a comfortable winter that DEEPER’S WEAR released the Mofu Series last year. The new item that RAL meets DEEPER’S WEAR is introducing this winter is the Mofu Player Over Shirt, which makes the most of this Mofu fabric, created through a special technique that blends wool and cotton.
　

　
Based on the Defender Shirt released two years ago, the pattern has been updated to provide a more comfortable active life in winter. Not only can it be worn like a shirt over a T-shirt or button-down, but it can also be worn like a jacket over a sweatshirt or knit sweater, and the fabric’s excellent stretch ensures smooth movement in all situations. The extended sleeves keep your wrists protected from cold wind while in a riding position, and the hand pockets are perfect for keeping your hands warm.
　

　
Furthermore, the back pocket, an icon of cycle wear, offers ample storage space similar to those found on traditional hunting or fishing jackets. It’s large enough to hold your wallet, smartphone, and keys for short outings, making it so you don't even need to carry a bag. And for the cold winter winds that are especially noticeable while cycling, we have added a thin fabric lining to the front panels to help soften the chill.
　

　
Best of all, however, is its lightness and warmth. While wool is excellent for heat retention, knitting the fibers densely to provide thickness usually makes the garment heavy. Many of us have experienced the discomfort of wearing a bulky knit, CPO jacket, or pea coat all day, which can make it hard to move and leave your shoulders stiff. The Mofu series, including this Mofu Player Over Shirt, eliminates that stress. The wool-cotton blend is knitted into sweat fabric in Wakayama, a region famous for Japanese-made sweats, and then finished using specialized machines at a blanket factory in Izumiotsu, Osaka. These machines raise the fibers on the reverse side, maximizing the pile on the side touching your skin to create a unique, soft, and fluffy texture.
