Cool breezes, warm sunshine, and the days getting a little longer—it has become the perfect season to spend all day playing outside! The other day, I enjoyed a rare clear sky and kept the pedals turning from dawn until dusk, and I felt truly grateful to be able to get out and play on a day like that.
In a little while, the rainy season will arrive, and after it clears, the hot summer will be upon us, and we will have to say goodbye to this wonderful climate. But that doesn’t mean we’ll stop going outside or stay holed up in our houses! Whether the humidity feels damp and uncomfortable or the sun is beating down, we will definitely continue to enjoy our rides, hikes, and outdoor activities.
Of course, I’m sure those of you reading this blog feel the same way. Today, I’d like to introduce a pair of pants that those who share that sentiment can wear to stay comfortable, no matter what they’re doing.
Light, Cool, and Smooth Long Pants
Once again, we collaborated with DEEPER’S WEAR, known for their LIFE SPEC. These Fast Pass Player Pants, made with the same fabric as last year's Fast Pass Player Shorts, are long pants that are incredibly light and can be worn through the summer without any stress.
Since the fabric is 100% polyester with excellent moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties, it absorbs and dries sweat quickly, while the smooth texture keeps you comfortable all day long when you're out riding, hiking, or enjoying other activities as the heat increases. They are also light and pack down compactly, making them very convenient to throw in a bag for travel or train trips.
Excellent Stretch and a Clean Silhouette
When we think about the functionality we want in pants for cycling, camping, hiking, or any other outdoor activity, the first thing that comes to mind is ease of movement. Of course, these Fast Pass Player Pants offer excellent stretch that follows your movements smoothly, even in positions you wouldn't typically take in daily life, like climbing.
In addition, the line of the leg has been refined so the hem doesn't interfere with the chain or chainring when cycling. While this was done for functional reasons, it resulted in a beautiful silhouette that matches not only relaxed wear like T-shirts and sweatshirts, but also collared items like shirts and polo shirts.
Outstanding Functional Details
The waist strap closure uses the same mechanism as last year’s Player Shorts, making them very easy to put on and take off. There are a total of three back pockets—one on the left and two on the right—all equipped with snap buttons to prevent items from accidentally falling out while you’re out enjoying your activities.
Furthermore, the outer pocket of the two on the right is sized to perfectly hold a smartphone. This was designed not just to increase storage capacity, but to ensure that even with a phone inside, it won't interfere with your pedaling.
I actually took these out for a trail ride with my phone in the pocket the other day, and I didn't notice it at all—I almost forgot I had anything in there!
