Red sweatshirt and jeans that look like they could be called acid-washed. Looking back at my memories of jeans, the deepest one goes back to when I was in the lower grades of elementary school. I used to wear nothing but shorts, but whenever my parents took me out, that was my go-to outfit. The slim cut was restrictive, uncomfortable, and a hassle whenever I tried to do anything, but regardless, it was my favorite pair.
In the 40-plus years since then, I’ve worn various jeans and pants made of denim fabric, but when I discovered cycling and it became a part of my daily life, the opportunities for me to wear jeans decreased drastically. That’s because I had personally labeled jeans as pants that are very hard to move in and cause stress while pedaling. Of course, during that time, I did come across what are called stretch denims and three-dimensional jeans designed for ease of movement, but none of them ever felt quite right.

It was while I was continuing this life of keeping my distance from jeans that I encountered ALL YOURS—or more specifically, the High Kick Jeans from back when the brand name was DEEPER’S WEAR. This was a truly shocking encounter.
These jeans, which look incredibly simple and unremarkable at first glance, stretch better than you could ever imagine. My first thought was, “This is amazing!” But what surprised me even more was the texture of the fabric. Jeans that stretch well—so-called “stretch jeans”—often contain a lot of polyurethane or polyester, giving them a somewhat shiny look compared to 100% cotton denim, and they tend to look a bit flat as you break them in. Yet, none of those characteristics were present in the High Kick Jeans.

Since then, these High Kick Jeans have become an indispensable part of my life. However, I wanted something better suited for my daily cycling life, so after some trial and error, this RAL meets ALLYOURS / High Kick “Riding” Jeans was brought to life. We’ve kept you waiting a long time since the last batch sold out, but they have finally been restocked, so I’d like to introduce them once again.

The ultimate original line for cyclists

There are several points that differ from ALL YOURS’ regular products, but the first thing I’d like to highlight is the silhouette. We narrowed the width of the hem as much as possible so that the pants don’t rub against the chain or chainring. However, it’s not just about making them narrow.

To achieve a silhouette that is as slim as possible while still looking clean, we needed a massive amount of data. So, we had the folks at ALL YOURS comb through all the data from the custom programs they conduct at their store on a daily basis, and they helped us fine-tune our ideal line with the perfect balance.
From button fly to zipper
A button fly is standard for ALL YOURS pants, but by changing this to a zipper, we’ve made them faster to put on and take off, without wasting a single second.
Two belt loops on the back instead of one
Also, we decided to replace the single belt loop in the center of the back with two loops shifted to the left and right. This was a bit of a playful touch; it started with a suggestion to shift it to the left to add a detail like vintage 501s. From there, we thought that if we added one more and placed them on both the left and right, the belt would be able to hold the waist securely even when leaning forward. Ultimately, this also leads to greater durability.
Leather patch with RAL brand imprint

We’ve added other arrangements different from the regular line as well. In addition to the RAL meets ALL YOURS original name tag, the white tab on the right back pocket—which bears the letter “D” from the previous brand name, DEEPER’S WEAR—has been changed to green, matching the name tag, and the leather patch features an RAL brand imprint.

Of course, the leather patch isn’t the only thing that changes in appearance. As you break in this denim fabric, it shows a great look no different from 100% cotton fabric. However, when you’re riding a bike, it’s inevitable that the color will fade significantly on the seat area. And if you continue to use them for many years, the time will come when they tear. If that happens, you can just repair them. That fading and the sight of the repairs should feel endearing, and you might even feel proud of them as proof of how much you’ve used them.

These High Kick Riding Jeans are versatile enough to be worn not only while cycling but in many other situations, including shopping, dining, farm work, and hiking, so I really hope as many people as possible will try them out. If there is anyone near you who is wearing them, please ask if you can put them on or try pulling the fabric. Just doing that should make you think, “Whoa, that’s amazing!”
Of course, if you can visit us, please come and try them on. You should be surprised by how smoothly you can bend your knees. Also, we would appreciate it if you could make an appointment before visiting.
