R.E.Load

Messenger bags.

Back when I was commuting to high school on my cross bike, I used that big enamel bag for club activities, but there was a bag I desperately wanted for days when I didn't have practice.
Yes, that was a messenger bag. Even though I ride a fixed-gear bike nowadays, this messenger bag was something I admired even before I knew the word "fixie."
I remember thinking that the sling style looked "more the part" than a backpack type back then.

Living in a town where the JR Tokaido Line rapid trains would just breeze through without stopping, I spent my time glued to the internet. I would gaze at various messenger bags, yearning for them even though they were out of reach for a high schooler's allowance.

One of them was R.E.Load.

R.E.Load messenger bags are handcrafted in Philadelphia, USA, by "R" Roland and "E" Ellie.
Beyond just being long-lasting, R.E.Load products are incredibly tough and highly water-resistant.
They are well-known for being fully customizable in color and size, and you can even have your favorite patterns embroidered if you wish.

We’ve just received a few of these R.E.Load messenger bags, so let me introduce them to you.

[R.E.LOAD] Small Civilian SAFETY FIRST

The Civilian is an orthodox messenger bag.
Even though it's the Small size, its capacity is more than enough for commuting to school or work. It comes with pockets both inside and out, making it a standard shape for a messenger bag.

It’s equipped with a buckle that makes loosening and tightening easy, as well as a stabilizer strap that prevents the bag from swinging and keeps it snug against your body.

20161002-20 Personally, the "SAFETY FIRST" patch is my favorite detail.
This is great. Everyone, safety first, okay?

It's the same model, but this one is a different colorway, featuring a black base with a camo pattern on the bottom panel.

[R.E.LOAD] Small Civilian Camo Base

If you're looking to make an impact when you're hunched over in a riding position, this is the one.
Actually, if I were back in the day, I'd definitely go for this one. Haha

The other one is a smart 10L-ish model, perfect for casual rides where you don't want anything too bulky.

[R.E.LOAD] Slim Dog Olive

"Slim Dog" is a cool name, isn't it? It makes me think of a dachshund.
I feel like the silhouette is somewhat similar, too.

This one has the same strap as the Civilian, but the shoulder pad and chest strap have been simplified. There's also just one pocket inside.

It’s starting to get cooler out, so why not check out the bags you’ve been avoiding carrying on your back because of the summer heat?
We have all sorts of bags available in the shop, so come on by. Get these new arrivals while you can.

We also accept custom color orders for R.E.Load, so feel free to talk to us about that too!!

Personally, I’m also waiting for invitations to go ride fixies together.
I might be planning something in secret, or maybe not.

Let’s ride!!
