The new NIGHT road shoe from QuocPham is likely something many of you have been waiting for. This new performance line is a departure for QuocPham, which has traditionally focused on classic leather shoes. While equipped with competition-ready performance, the shoes also retain a classic aesthetic, allowing for a style that pairs perfectly with the simple, vibrantly colored, and beautiful cycling jerseys that are currently trending.
Unlike large manufacturers that approach the market as an organization, QuocPham faces various difficulties in translating the personal aesthetic, design, and commitments to production and distribution of the product designer, Quoc, into a reality. It hasn’t been a smooth road, but by carefully clearing every hurdle, they have finally achieved completion.
And here is some good news for those of you who have had to give up on these in the past due to a lack of sizes!
Size 40 (24.5cm) will be newly added to the lineup for the Japanese market. I am one of those people who had to give up on them due to sizing, but since the size 40 looks like it will fit me, I’m planning to treat myself to a new pair of road shoes!
Dubbed "Contemporary Style for Performance Riders," the NIGHT features the new patented Lock-Lace system developed by QUOC, which provides an outstanding fit and minimizes slippage.
◆ About the Uppers
The uppers come in two varieties: microfiber and black leather.
The microfiber version uses a high-performance material that is breathable, extremely lightweight, and easy to maintain. It is available in three colors: black, white, and pink.
Then there is the cowhide model, which is to be expected from Quoc, a brand that excels in leather. The smooth, comfortable leather material will develop a deep, rich character as the years and miles go by. Maintenance is the same as for regular leather shoes.
◆ About the Soles
The soles are made of a lightweight carbon composite material that achieves the perfect balance of strength, weight, and moderate flex. The heel pads are replaceable, so even if they wear down from walking, the shoes themselves won't be ruined. There is also ventilation that runs through the inside of the shoe to minimize stuffiness as much as possible.
◆ Insoles and Heel Cups
We use microfiber insoles that absorb and wick away sweat while suppressing odor. The heel cups are also equipped with 3M™ reflectors to increase safety during night riding.
