Many of you have likely been looking forward to this: the new MTB/gravel cycling shoe from QUOC PHAM, the GRAN TOURER.
In contrast to QUOC's previous lineup, which centered on classic leather shoes, this is a performance series that combines enhanced functionality as a cycling shoe with a sophisticated, modern design. It will be released soon, following their road shoe, the NIGHT—which recently added smaller sizes 38 and 39—as the second installment in this series.
The Gran Tourer was born from rethinking, from the ground up, what kind of footwear is necessary for the riding and play we enjoy every day—such as long rides that include rough terrain and bike packing—rather than just creating another variation of a competition shoe.
With these features, alongside the elegant design typical of QUOC that pairs well with formal styles, this is a versatile pair of shoes. It is sure to be the best choice for many cyclists who aren't racing at a top level, but ride more than just casual commutes.
Developing a shoe capable of handling every environment, including off-road, required integrating many elements. Key features of the Gran Tourer include the development and patenting of "GravelGrip," a sole material that is both slip-resistant and highly durable, as well as the adoption of a gusseted tongue and seamless construction to enhance water resistance and durability.
