SURLY 8-Pack Rack, 24-Pack Rack
Request to "Discontinue Use"
On September 24th at 9:00 AM Japan Standard Time, SURLY HQ issued an important announcement.
SURLY HQ has received reports that on bikes equipped with "8-Pack Racks" or "24-Pack Racks," the rack mounting bolts can loosen while riding, causing the rack to contact the front wheel and result in accidents.
While there have been no such reports within Japan to date,
for the sake of safety, SURLY HQ has announced that use of all affected products sold to date should be discontinued.
The affected products include the "8-Pack Rack" and "24-Pack Rack" released by SURLY since 2016, as well as the "Pack Rat (complete bike)," which comes equipped with the aforementioned racks as standard.
