Nice to meet you!
I'm Nami Nishide from Early Birds, also known as "Natchan."
This is my first time writing for the blog.
It’s been just about a year since I joined the team here at Early Birds alongside Keita-san and Acchan.
I actually used to come here as a customer quite a few times, but because I’m the nervous type, I never had the courage to say hello and would always go home without ever striking up a conversation. Haha.
I was so interested in the community—the events held by Circles, Early Birds, and Pine Fields Market, as well as the people who work there and the customers who visit—that it eventually led me to where I am today.
I’ve always loved making things, like cooking and baking, and now I'm learning how to prepare the food at Early Birds and gradually serving it at the shop.
I had never developed a menu item for a shop before, but this time, I was put in charge of our new milkshakes. After having so many people taste-test them again and again (enough to gain a few pounds!), and incorporating all kinds of feedback, they are finally complete.

They might be far from healthy, but these Early Birds original milkshakes are absolutely delicious.
They come in two flavors.

【Pineapple & pinkpepper】¥800-
The first one is a refreshing fruit milkshake perfect for summer.
We’ve added sweetness to the tartness of pineapple and yogurt using our homemade condensed milk.
There’s also a hint of spice as a secret ingredient, along with the faint, savory aroma of almonds.
The pink pepper adds a little spicy kick to the sweetness of the fruit and condensed milk, making it nice and easy to drink.
It has a smooth, velvety texture.
I recommend it as a quick breakfast or as a dessert.

【Chocolate & cinnamon】¥700-
Next, for the classic choice—a milkshake!
This is a sweet chocolate shake that’s just perfect for dessert.
But it’s not just plain sweet; we’ve added cinnamon, which pairs perfectly for a slightly more grown-up flavor profile.
Inside the smooth shake, there are chunks of chocolate crumble hidden throughout.
I want you to eat it with a spoon, just like a parfait!
It’s also delicious if you swirl the whipped cream topping, powder, and crumble all together.
Both of these shakes actually made their quiet debut on Sunday, June 10th.
You can find them on the second page of the Early Birds menu.

Next month, in July, the shop owner will be away on a trail trip in the U.S., so Acchan and I will be running Early Birds by ourselves for about three weeks. (We’ll have a lovely helper coming in on the weekends!)
I’ll be focusing on the cooking and new drink menu, and Acchan will be handling the banana bread and all our other sweets. We’re both going to do our best to challenge ourselves and support each other.
We look forward to seeing you if you’re swinging by Circles, PFM, or just stopping in for a bite to eat!
Thanks for your continued support!
