【Stay safe at night!】Useful safety goods to have on hand.

When I'm out riding, I often think about how quiet cars have become lately. They're so quiet that I sometimes don't even realize one is coming up behind me, which can be quite a surprise when they pass by.

For those who have just started commuting by bike for the new season, or those getting back into it now that it’s getting warmer, please be careful when riding at night. Today, I’d like to introduce some safety gear to help protect you.

【AARDVARK】 Reflective Yield Symbol 7×7″ ¥1,500 (excl. tax)

This object with its distinctive, rice-ball-like rounded shape is a reflector that can be easily attached to and removed from saddle rails, racks, and baskets using Velcro. It’s a stellar performer that reflects brilliantly when hit by car headlights to make your presence known, and it’s also great for attaching to your backpack.

【CYCLEAWARE】 Beamer reflect Saddle Bag ¥2,500 (excl. tax)

When I first found this, I thought it was just a simple saddle bag, but looking closer, I wondered, "Hmm? That looks like reflective material... and it's on the whole thing?" I was a bit skeptical, thinking, "No way..."

Once we stocked it, it turned out to be exactly that. An impressive saddle bag made entirely of reflective material. It has the perfect amount of room to comfortably fit a spare tube, tire levers, a CO2 cartridge, and a multi-tool. It attaches using a simple and secure method of looping straps through the saddle rails, making it a reliable companion for your night rides. Personally, I also recommend this saddle bag for brevets.

Better safe than sorry. Helmets and lights are important, but why not add an item like this to keep your night rides safe?

Stay safe at night and enjoy your cycling life!
