We’ve been busy building up bikes like Cielo and Hunter lately,
(This week has been especially intense; I hope to share more on that later),
but we’ve also been handling quite a few custom paint jobs via Kyutai Paint. Here is one I’d like to highlight.
This is a bike the owner has cherished for a long time. They brought it to us for an overhaul when they first visited, and after putting many more miles on it, it was time for a second. This time around, it’s been reborn with a fresh paint job and some bold specification changes.
The frame features a raw finish. We utilized the Velo Orange Porteur Rack and Swift Industries Polaris Porteur Rack Bag the owner already owned, tailoring the build for both daily commuting and weekend short touring.
The handlebar is the SimWorks Calsaga. It might have a strong off-road image, but the 540mm width is also recommended for touring! (Rie-bo uses this bar on her Hunter, too!) Personally, I think the LX levers with their open clamp design pair perfectly with the Calsaga.
For the Porteur Rack, we paired an SP Fish-Eye Dynamo Light with a dynamo hub.
The rear is fully equipped with a PDW Loading Dock Rack, plus Sykes Woodfenders.
Adding racks, fenders, and the like can make your bike feel much more a part of your daily life. Please feel free to consult with us.
