JUSTICE!!
It’s JUS.
Sitting around saying "it's cold, it's cold" won't get you anywhere. Let's get outside and play!
This time, I'd like to introduce some items from Aclima that will keep you warm whether you're on your bike or off.
Aclima was founded in Norway in 1922.
They are leaders in the textile industry and, while they now own their own factory in Estonia, strict quality control is maintained at their Norwegian headquarters. Their quality is highly regarded in Europe for the insulation, cleanliness, and functionality of their wool wear, which is even used by NATO member military forces.
Check out our new Early Birds staff member, "Acchan," wearing those Aclima wrist and neck gaiters.
"No matter how much I layer up, I'm still freezing!!" When that happens, "You've got to warm your wrists and neck."
Because your wrists have little subcutaneous fat and visible blood vessels, they are places where heat is easily lost through your blood. Just like the neck, which shares these same characteristics, keeping these areas warm will make a huge difference in how you feel, especially in your fingertips!

These are great not only for cycling but also for autumn and winter hiking or camping. Your hands get cold easily, so thin gloves can feel a bit insufficient. But thick gloves can be overkill, and they’re too hot when you’re walking. Besides, thick gloves make it hard to perform tasks like zipping up jackets, re-tying shoelaces, or setting up a tent. You might find yourself taking your gloves off every time, only to end up working with bare hands anyway.
In those moments, using thin gloves along with wrist gaiters allows you to achieve both ease of movement and warmth for your hands to a high degree.

A neck gaiter is also an essential item for keeping your body warm. In fact, wearing a scarf while cycling can be very dangerous. There have been actual accidents where scarves have come loose and the ends have gotten caught in the bicycle wheel.
A neck gaiter can be pulled up to cover your nose and ears, providing protection against the biting wind while you ride.
We’ve focused on Aclima this time, but we also stock items like wrist gaiters made from fleece by Houdini, famous for their Power Houdi, as well as the Power Hat, which can also be used as a neck gaiter. These are also great for running, hiking, cycling, and everyday use, so please be sure to check them out at the store!
