So, how did everyone spend their New Year's holiday?
While some friends seemed to have a great time at what they called #IzuTrainingCamp2016, I headed to the Hanazono Rugby Stadium—the holy ground for high school ruggers—on January 1st and 3rd to watch the 96th All Japan High School Rugby Tournament.
It has been 15 years since I competed there myself, but the atmosphere and the vibe, unchanged from back then, still get me excited no matter how many years pass. Watching the heated matches of high school ruggers makes my blood pump with passion.
On the 2nd, I spent the whole day at Universal Studios Japan.
My wife bought these magical tickets called Express Passes, which allowed us to get on attractions with almost no waiting time even during the super-crowded New Year period. I highly recommend the Express Pass. They are a bit pricey, but you learn to grow up a little knowing that "money can buy time."
