Don't forget to hydrate and grease up!

Now that it’s December and the end of the year is on my mind, I’ve been feeling the cold even more. It’s Kamo.
With the heater on inside, and the cold wind drying me out when I step outside, I’m feeling parched...
That’s when hydration becomes important. We’ve just received a nice bottle from PHIL WOOD that I’d like those of you feeling a bit dry to use.

Tenacious Water ¥2,370 (tax included)

Phil Wood is known for their sturdy, smooth-spinning hubs and their understated, colorful quick-release skewers. This slightly vivid bottle is a departure from that. It’s an original water bottle themed after “Tenacious Oil,” a chemical they’ve been making since their founding. Made by Specialized, it’s also great because it lacks that typical plastic bottle smell!

Make sure to stay hydrated so you don't succumb to the dry air. And speaking of dryness, bicycles can dry out too with use, and if they get rained on, they can rust.

To prevent that from happening, make sure to apply some Waterproof Grease—the same stuff we use in the Circles pit—to your beloved bike.

Wait a second! Are you about to grab your bottle with grease-covered hands? Phil Wood has also provided a handy tool for that, which effectively removes stubborn machine oil that regular soap just can't handle.

This plant-based Hand Cleaner removes oil stains effectively with just a small amount; it’s gentle on the skin, has a subtle scent, and feels great to use. It’s a favorite of mine, since I have dry skin.

During this dry winter season, don’t forget to hydrate yourself and grease up your bike!
